The old skin is itchy, irritating, bothersome and begs to be discarded. The new skin, raw and rather vulnerable, lies just underneath – not quite ready yet to have fresh air and elements touch it, and with time nurtured into the new role of number one organ. To adjust, it takes tender conditions and a short period of waiting for this new skin to adjust to being exposed to the harsh outside world. A snake will hide in a dark, cool, and safe unexposed space until the new skin is adjusted enough to handle this exposure. We, too, must respect a little time between shedding the last of our old skin and stepping out into the world in our new skin – a transitionary period, indeed.

In our human existence, this shedding of our old “skin”, i.e. outdated, old and non-essential layers of ourselves that have served their purpose and are now no longer needed or desired, have a different kind of shedding.  As these layered aspects of ourselves become evident or conscious to us they can then be acknowledged for what they are, what each one represents to us – then released. This old ‘skin’ is something that has been itching to be removed for some time now, years for many of us, and now we are so done with it that it has become an aggravation, and we are desperate to get rid of it! The energies of this Dragon year have pushed us hard to SEE what this old baggage actually is in our life and rub it out, off of our Human Self forevermore! Released to be recycled into the earth…while we begin to realize and recognize what our new skin looks like, and just ‘who’ this “new” me/you/us could be – this I AM who is preparing to present the new ‘look’ out in the world – WHO she/he truly is.

The intensity of all the planetary action that has been happening in Aries is all about the discovery of, or perhaps simply to recognize this hidden, buried I Am Self…along with the healing of so much illusion and trauma entangled and entwined into, onto and around this Soul Self of our lives’ evolutionary Journeys. Pretty much like a birthing of the essential original you. This requires us to ‘see’ what parts remain that are who you are NOT. Today is the full moon in Scorpio, Wesak or the Buddha Moon. The Sun is in Taurus – Taurus represents life, what is blooming and sprouting – new life, our sustenance and the joy of living as it is ruled by Venus, the planet of love. Scorpio is about death and rebirth, transformation, deep dark secrets, subconscious. This is the most amazingly perfect time to be shedding the skin of our old life, it is now dead, done and serves us NOT! What is begging to be birthed? What new life, new skin will we don and display in its ultimate glory of authentic beauty? What does your new plumage look like after all the old feathers have been discarded? And what secret and magical method might assist this process?

Without a doubt, we are being ushered into making unprecedented changes in the perception of our reality, what it looks like – us and everything around and about us – allowing this outdated and old reality, i.e. “skin”, to morph, transform and birth into the reality of our dreams. Each of us is an integral part of this as our own self-perception is key to the perception that we have of this world we live in. By becoming conscious of what is NOT working for us individually – inside and out – and thus shedding the old skin, we contribute to the birthing of this ‘new’ reality by becoming that which we see as essential and integral to the ultimate success of what this new reality/world might be. As within, so without.

Love is the magic doorway…learning to love ourselves – this includes every bit and part of the trials and tribulations of these Journey’s that are what is and has been required for us to get to this point we are at right now – and beyond. Our dreams and visions can become our reality! They actually have pure potentiality to manifest – this is why it is so important for us to believe in this ‘who’ we are becoming while leaving behind that which we do not identify with anymore. Loving ourselves allows us to love every step of this ongoing process of discovering our true nature, our Soul Self – thus loving each other unconditionally, as well as this amazing, magical world that exists here underneath all of the illusions, waiting to be respected, appreciated, loved and brought back into its pristine original paradise. Ultimately, it all relies upon us believing in ourselves, our right to this New World we are choosing to be a part of as we are consciously creating, co-creating, it.

Yeah, it’s a lot – but so are the energies that are kicking our butts to take this step! There is a book that Buckminster Fuller published called “Utopia or Oblivion” back in the late sixties, a compilation of essays that he had written about what it would – will – take to actually HAVE this dream world, what we can do individually and collectively together to see that it will, indeed, become our Utopia. The alternative is that we crumble into the primordial sea of recycling via Mama Gaia, destroying ourselves because we choose NOT TO SEE what we have become and what we continue to do…oblivion. It has happened many times before, however – the support to succeed is incredibly strong now in the great year of 2024  because humanity as a whole IS awakening, as hard as it is to believe sometimes (right?). Having faith that all it takes is a tiny percentile of the population, the ENTIRE population of this planet to turn our ship (destiny of humanity on Planet E) around.

Scorpio tells us to go deep, very deep within – no skimming the surface. To shed this skin we must go deep to look into our subconscious shadows and secrets that have long been hidden – and then, as such, these same shadows and secrets that are our external reality are revealed – shockingly and blatantly (Uranus/Jupiter conjunct!) so that we become aware of all of the shit that has been hidden for too long! Seeing where those things GOVERN who you are and what you believe – these are the things you have the ultimate personal power to shift and shed.

The Sun in Taurus invites us to birth this new world new reality, With Venus the planet of love as our mentor assisting us through this process. The big light of this full moon is exposing all of that icky stuff for us, and the Sun is shining brightly on what new life is – as we envision that which sustains us, the things that feed our souls, the goodness of a vibrant and full life of love and sustenance for all.
